By supplication, we Muslims use to seek guidance, forgiveness, protection, patience, and blessings from Allah. They reflect the profound spirituality and connection to Allah that is central to Islamic teachings.

Masnoon Duas (Daily Islamic Duas)

Supplication, known as “Dua” in Arabic, holds significant importance in Islam and refers to the act of invoking Allah (God) for guidance, assistance, forgiveness, or any other form of supplication. It is a fundamental aspect of worship and communication with Allah, emphasizing the personal relationship between a believer and their Creator. It is is a vital aspect of Islamic worship, emphasizing the intimate connection between a believer and Allah. It serves as a means of seeking Allah’s guidance, mercy, and blessings in all aspects of life, fostering spiritual growth and strengthening faith.’

  • Supplications in Islam:

    Few Islamic Supplications are given hereinunder:

    1. Dua for Seeking Guidance and Knowledge: Arabic: رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا Transliteration: Rabbizidni ilma Translation: “O my Lord, increase me in knowledge.” (Quran 20:114)
    2. Dua for Seeking Forgiveness: Arabic: رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ Transliteration: Rabbana thalamna anfusana wa illam taghfir lana wa tarhamna lanakunanna minal-khasireen Translation: “Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.” (Quran 7:23)
    3. Dua for Patience and Perseverance: Arabic: رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَى وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِي عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ Transliteration: Rabbi auzi’ni an ashkura ni’mataka allati an’amta ‘alayya wa ‘ala walidayya wa an a’mala salihan tardahu wa adkhilni birahmatika fi ‘ibadika assaliheen Translation: “My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants.” (Quran 27:19)
    4. Dua for Protection from Evil: Arabic: بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ Transliteration: Bismillahi alladhi la yadurru ma’asmihi shay’un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama’i wa huwa assami’u al-alim Translation: “In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.” (Hadith)
    5. Dua for Well-being and Goodness: Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ العَفْوَ وَالعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ Transliteration: Allahumma inni as’aluka al-‘afwa wal-‘afiyata fi ad-dunya wal-akhirah Translation: “O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in this world and in the Hereafter.” (Hadith)
